Good day for recovery

Been stalled for a while.  Too much time on the Internet- not enough time on meal plans and de-cluttering. Yesterday, started the rug for my future log cabin.  That set off a chain of satisfaction.  Positive things done yesterday:
1) Created a new daily planner page that works with my current tracking needs.
2) Caught up on my dishes.
3) Got most of my clothes on hangers and organized into outfits.

Used to think that having a craft project interfered with ongoing chores.  But now it makes it easier to stay on track.  Following Flylady's plan, I set the timer for 15 minutes and do three rounds of chores in three different rooms- then I set the timer for a rest and a reward (which you need by that time).  If the reward is the internet- I never get off the computer.  If the reward is the TV- we get stuck in the 'next commericial' syndrome.  But if the reward is crafts- and you don't pay attention to the timer- your progress is a clue that you've spent too long- plus you are eager to get back and make more progress- so you are more likely to stay on task.  At least that was the story yesterday.

15 minutes are up!  See you next time!

Great-Grandma Weber's Summer German Potato Salad
